The fifth category are the mages. Mage are totally different heroes. They use different equipment and have different countermeasures when facing them. Their damage, rather than physical attack, use magic power: rather than physical defense, other need magic defense to be safe from their burst damage.
Best mages: Cecilion, Kagura, Valir.
The sixth and last category are the supports. They may also be mages, melee or long-ranged. Supports can help heroes farm faster or keep the enemy at bay while allied heroes farm. They can be quite useful in teamfight.
The fourth category are the marksmen. They are long-ranged but have less health, thus making them very strong but vulnerable to melee-ranged heroes. The marksmen above(Irithel) can shoot while moving, making her the strongest marksmen currently.
The third category are assassins. They have short health but burst damage(can ambush well) and are tricky to fight. Their weakness is their need of mana or their lack of health, so stunning them or leading them into a turret would be enough. Gusion(above hero), is an example of an assassin. He can do burst damage and CC with his 2nd skill, when he does so, he can life steal so much that he can regain almost maximum health.
